2013 Red Claw Heathcote Shiraz

The fruit for this wine is sourced from Heathcote Estate’s vineyard. Impenetrable inky black purple colour with a dark purple black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas dominate the olfactory senses followed by traces of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Full bodied, rich blackberry and liquorice flavours infused with blackpepper overlay some meaty characters, crushed rock and spicy vanillin cedar. Chewy mouthfeel with a solidly constructed tannin base. Long peppered blackberry, liquorice, crushed rock and spicy vanillin cedar aftertaste.
