2013 Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz

Matured in French oak hogsheads for 15 months. Impenetrable inky black core with an equally deep black dark red hue. Potent ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry aromas fill the nostrils followed by toasty vanillin oak, earthy fennel and blackpepper. Rich, dense and structured, the palate is awash with opulent black cherry, liquorice and blackberry fruits which oversee a back drop of toasty vanillin oak, fennel, earthy black olives and blackpepper. A robust tannin framework holds everything in place and firms up the finish. Outstanding power and concentration with a long chewy black fruited aftertaste.
