2013 Bodegas Altun Albiker Rioja

Totally opaque black purple colour with a dark purple red hue. The nose displays youthful scents of black cherries and liquorice over some vanillin cedar and spice. Rich and joosy the palate features almost succulent like flavours of freshly crushed ripe dark cherries and liquorice followed by some vanillin cedar and spice. Dry, slightly chewy, inky like finish with good fresh acidity and fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of inky, ripe dark cherries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
