2012 Tomich Woodside Vineyard Pinot Noir
Sourced from Tomich’s best parcels of fruit the Woodside Pinot Noir is matured in French oak with 30% being new. 2012 was an outstanding season in the Adelaide Hills with perfect ripening conditions result in pristine fruit.
Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with a light red hue. Attractive notes of ripe dark cherries and dark plums overlaid by a hint of anise emerge from the glass with some toasty oak and spice in the background. Light to medium weight the palate has a fruit loaded savoury profile of ripe dark cherries and dark plums followed by some toasty anise like characters and spice. Very good power wave with soft silk like tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, anise, subtle toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
