2012 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark purple black hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and black olive emerge from the glass followed by a hint of liquorice, cedary tobacco and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate has a firm backbone and acid structure which will see it cellar well in the medium to long term. Flavours of ripe blackcurrant overlay black olives, vanillin cedar, tobacco like characters and spice. Dryish finish with firm tannins imparting some chalkiness and grip. Long ripe blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, vanillin cedar and spicy tobacco.
Cellar 8-10 years.
