Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. The nose offers up aromas of blackcurrant with a minty bay leaf overlay followed by some spicy cedar. The palate is medium to full bodied and possesses generous flavours of blackcurrant and subtle liquorice over some light bay leaf, cedar, tobacco and spice. Dryish finish with solid but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice.
