2012 Gemtree Uncut Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Outstanding saturated black purple colour with deep dark crimson red purple hue. The nose opens with lifted top notes of ripe blackberry and dark plum followed by some dark chocolate, liquorice and vanillin spice. Full bodied, sumptuous and plushly textured with flavours of ripe dark plum and blackberry dominate over some underlying dark chocolate, subtle cedar and spice. Excellent acid tannin balance. Slightly dryish on the finish with velvet smooth tannins. Long dark plum, blackberry, dark chocolate and vanillin cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
