Aged for 30 months in seasoned oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Intense aromas of liquorice and cassis are overlaid by toasty vanillin oak, new leather and spice. Rich, thickly textured and possessing a silky smooth mouthfeel the palate boasts opulent flavours of ripe blackcurrants and liquorice with spicy vanillin oak infusions and underlying mocha. Slightly dryish but otherwise velvet like tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, vanillin oak, mocha and subtle earthy leather.
