2011 Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva Tenuta Tignanello

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries intermixed with violets and spicy dried herbs overlay some scorched earth and new leather. Medium bodied the palate has plenty of up front richness with flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plums intermixed with spicy dried herbs, cedar and earthy leather. Dryish finish with relatively firmish tannins providing the back palate with a sense of chewiness. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, leather, earthy cedar and spice.
