2011 Myattsfield Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot Merlot

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Petit Verdot and 12% Merlot with maturation taking place in a combination of new and old French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. Lifted blackcurrant and mulberry aromas are followed by cedary tobacco overtones and spice. Medium to full bodied with good mid palate richness and a fleshy mouthfeel the palate features ripe blackcurrant flavours over cedary tobacco characters, a touch of black olive and spicy earth. Very fine grained tannin structure with a medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedary tobacco and spicy earth.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
