2011 Chapel Hill The Vicar Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black purple core with deep dark purple black hue showing excellent colour saturation. The nose is quite restrained with aromas of liquorice, subtle blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and some pepper end notes emerging. Full bodied yet with a sense of elegance the palate possesses rich liquorice and inky blackberry flavours followed by some toasty vanillin oak and blackpepper on the back palate. Slightly dryish tannins assert some presence providing good structure with aftertaste of liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and blackpepper.
Cellar 5-6 years (2018-2019).
