2010 San Felice Chianti Classico

Made predominately from Sangiovese with 20% Colorino and Pugnitello also included. Maturation takes place in large Slavonian oak botti for up to 12 months prior to release. Deep dark red colour with dark red to brick red hue. The nose reveals scents of dark cherries followed by some earth, cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate sports a savoury flavour profile of dark cherries, earthy cedar, leather and spice. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of dark cherries, earthy cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2013-2016).
