2010 J. Christopher Chehalem Mountains Nuages Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a tinge of black around the edges and a bright dark crimson red hue. Lifted ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas are intermixed with a hint of anise followed by some subtle smoked meatiness and spicy cedar end notes. Medium bodied and richly textured the palate delivers sumptuous flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plum alongside some anise with a smoked meat and spicy cedar background. Excellent power and depth. A solid tannin structure takes on a velvety appearance beneath the wealth of fruit. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plum, anise, smoked meats, cedar and spice aftertaste.
