If you're still bemused by this estate's title, its origins date back from the earliest European settlement of Marlborough, where sheep were first introduced to the district. There were few fences and the sheep were rounded up by the 'boundary keeping dogs'. The story goes that some of these boundary dogs turned feral and inhabited a hill which became known as 'Dog Point'.

Deep dark crimson red colour with crimson red hue showing good depth. The nose exhibits perfumed scents of dark cherries, plum and anise with some underlying cedar and spice notes. The palate possesses good weight and is quite fleshy in texture with flavours of dark cherries, dark plum, some cedar, a touch of anise and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Good power wave with long dark cherry, ripe plum and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2012-2017).
Alc 14.0%
