Matured for 16 months in a combination of new and older French oak. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson red black hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, ripe dark mulberry and dark cherry are followed by some spice notes. Medium to full bodied the palate has flavours of ripe blackcurrant, dark cherries, some subtle cedary tobacco and spice. Fine grained, slightly dryish tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice.
