Matured in seasoned and new French oak for 18 months. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep youthful dark purple hue. The nose is quite youthful and restrained at present with aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice, cedar and spice gradually emerging. Medium weight the palate displays flavours of ripe blackberry and dark plum along with some dark chocolate and spice. Very elegant for a Barossa Shiraz and almost a little out of character. Fine grained, dryish tannins with moderate aftertaste of blackberry, inky liquorice and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years (2016-2017).
