2009 Cantina Tollo Aldiano Riserva Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe black cherries followed by a hint of liquorice, cedar, leather and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses a rich flavour profile of black cherries and liquorice followed by some leather, earthy cedar and spice. Slightly chewy mouthfeel with solid but fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice, leather, scorched earth and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
