Matured for 11 months in fine grained, medium toast new and second year French oak barrels. The colour is looking a touch advanced for a 2008 red with very deep dark red colour and dark brick red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and stewed plum are followed by some cedar. Full bodied the palate possesses a dry firmish tannin structure with flavours of blackcurrant, stewed fruits and spicy cedar. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice, earth and cedar.
