2008 Curlewis Reserve Pinot Noir

Matured for 18 months in 50% new French barriques. Semi translucent dark red colour with brick red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with scents of ripe black cherries and dark strawberries overlaid with some toasty oak followed by some gamey meat like characters and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses flavours of ripe black cherries and dark plums followed by some spicy oak with some dried meat characters on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with long ripe black cherry, dark plum, toasty oak and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
