2008 Craggy Range Zebra Vineyard Pinot Noir

This wine saw 10 months maturation in French oak barriques of which 40% were new. Semi translucent deep crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Perfumed aromas of violets, dark plum and cherry followed by a whiff of spice. Medium bodied with youthful flavours of dark cherry and plum followed by some cedar and spice on the back palate. Good power wave, but not great. Fine grained velvet like tannins with aftertaste of black cherry, spice, plum & anise.
