A blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc this wine is the second label of Chateau La Gaffeliere. Opaque black crimson colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good lift with perfumed notes of mulberry and blackcurrant followed by some cedar and an overlay of cigar box and spice. The palate possesses a good combination of richness and structure with flavours of blackcurrant and mulberry supported by a firm, slightly chalky and dry tannin structure followed by some spice with a cigar box overlay. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and cigar box.
