Matured for 18 months in 100% new French oak hogsheads. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose presents aromas of dark chocolate and dark plum followed by some toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses generous dark chocolate, dark plum, liquorice and vanillin oak flavours followed by some spice on the back palate. Dry, slightly chalky tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of dark chocolate, dark plum and spicy vanillin cedar oak.
