Maturation took place in a combination of 80% new French oak and 20% second fill barrels for a period of 16 months.
Deep dark red purple colour with deep purple crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark blackberry, plum and spice with an earthy overlay showing good lift. Medium to full bodied displaying spicy flavours of black cherry and dark plum with dry earthy tannins. Good length with aftertaste of earthy black cherry and spice.
