Made from the Nero d’Avola grape which is the most important grape variety grown in Sicily and has many parallels to Australian Shiraz. The colour is deep crimson with deep crimson mauve hue. Perfumed top note of spice and blackberry followed by cherry, spice and a hint of confectionary. On the palate flavours of cherry, spice, confectionary and cedar are dominant. Fine grained tannins. Very pronounced black pepper aftertaste.
