2006 St. Hallett Blackwell Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue and a hint of purple, showing excellent cling to the glass. Superb lifted nose of fresh liquorice strap, violets, blackberry concentrate and vanilla. The palate is well structured with flavours of cedar, vanilla, plum and stewed fruit evident, over a fine black pepper back palate. Fine grained tannins. Very spicy black pepper sensation persists well into the aftertaste.
