This wine is sourced from a variety of growers whose vineyards are situated on limestone soils located throughout the Cote d’Or. With this wine the Olivier Leflaive winemaking team aim to produce an affordable White Burgundy that reflects an overall pure expression of the Chardonnay grape from the Burgundy region. Many of the other White Burgundies they produce are focused on highlighting the distinctive characters of a specific terrior or sub region of Burgundy.
An excellent follow up to the 2005 Bourgogne and produced from a year rated 9/10.
Bright pale straw colour with water like hue. Subtle yet obvious top note of confectionary, white peach, melon and cantaloupe. The palate flavours are quite dry with melon, peach and hazelnut flavours evident. Excellent length. Long spice and nut aftertaste.
