2004 Outlook Hill Cabernet Merlot

Very deep crimson purple colour with purple hue.  Perfumed top notes of mulberry and cassis followed by a hint of violets.  The palate flavour profile reveals a hint of blackcurrant followed by liquorice allsorts.  Fine dry, chalky tannins.  Aftertaste of plum, earth, truffle and leather.

First tasted, January 2006:

Very deep, almost opaque black purple colour with purple hue. The nose delivers an impressive Cabernet sniff, with aromas of blackcurrant, spice and mulberry. The palate has very good ripe fruit flavour. Spice, blackcurrant, mulberry flavour enhanced by fine grained tannins. Excellent balance. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant liquorice and mulberry.
