2004 La Motte Millennium

An excellent South African Bordeaux style blend composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Opaque dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. Very perfumed nose with aromas of violets, blackcurrant and liquorice dominating followed by dark chocolate, spice and cedar – a top sniff. Full bodied palate displaying plenty of ripe primary fruit. Flavours of blackcurrant, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by earth, cedar and spice. Fine grained dryish tannins but in perfect balance. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice, cedar and spice.
