The Filsell Shiraz is one of Grant Burge's benchmark wines which has been sourced from eighty year old vines grown at Lyndoch. The use of American oak which has become the stamp of many a Barossa vigneron is evident yet balanced.
This is an excellent Barossa Shiraz.
Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue, showing excellent cling. Superb, perfumed nose of violets, vanilla, spice, confectionary and liquorice allsorts. Excellent palate weight. Refined flavour profile of white pepper, spice, vanilla and violet infusions. Excellent length. Fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of vanilla, confectionary and liquorice allsorts.
