2003 Yalumba Oxford Landing Merlot

A quaffing Merlot. Semi-translucent crimson colour with crimson hue. Simple nose, with notes of plum, spice and stewed fruit emerging. The palate is straightforward with some stalky characteristics emerging over plum and stewed fruit. Soft tannins. Stalky, plum, spice aftertaste.
Cellar 1-2 years (2006-2007)

First Tasted January 2005:
A Commercial Quaffer. Crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. The nose is simple with aroma of stewed fruit and spice, followed by a hint of tea leaf and a vegetal endnote. The palate reflects the nose, with vegetal tea leaf flavours, followed by a touch of plum and spice. Fine dry tannins. Vegetal tea leaf aftertaste.
