Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose reveals a touch of leather and earth followed by notes of spice, blackberry and dark chocolate. There is a real resemblance to wines of the Cote du Rhone region in this wine, and by calling it Syrah, we guess that is precisely what winemaker Ken Eckersly is aiming for. The palate again reflects the nose creating a Rhone like flavour profile. Earth and leather are followed by plum and spice. Fine grained tannins. Persistent earth and leather aftertaste.
