The 2003 Oomoo is lighter than the 2001 and 2002 vintages and we suspect that this is partly due to the expanding production volumes of this best seller. The 2003 is a well made commercial wine, but not the bargain that was represented by the previous two vintages. Very deep crimson colour with deep mauve hue. Aroma of liquorice, dark chocolate, blackberry, spice and vanilla. On the palate, flavours of liquorice, spice and ripe plum are supported by soft tannins. Spicy plum aftertaste.
