2003 Danie De Wet Unoaked Chardonnay Sur Lie

Bright pale straw colour with pale straw hue. The nose is lifted with aromas of melon followed by a hint of tropical fruit and ripe pear. The palate reveals a fuller style of unwooded chardonnay than those that we experience in Australia. Creamy texture, with some smoky lees flavours emerging, followed by a cashew back palate. There is a touch of lemon appearing followed by a tropical fruit, citrus after taste.
