2003 Campbells The Barkly Durif

The Barkly Durif derives its name from the original name of Rutherglen – Barkly.
Very deep black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. Top note of spice, stewed fruit and morello cherry with a hint of black pepper. On the palate generous flavours of liquorice, morello cherries and stewed fruit emerge, supported by fine slightly chalky tannins. Warm spicy black pepper. Aftertaste of liquorice, cherry and black pepper.
