AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF YOUNG SHIRAZ and a brilliant introduction to the exceptional 2002 vintage. Very deep crimson colour with purple mauve hue. The nose is lifted, with distinct youthful aroma – spice, subtle blackpepper with a touch of cinnamon. The palate has plenty of fruit filled flavour – hints of mocca, dark chocolate, plum and liquorice flavours emerge followed by an inky spice and blackpepper back palate. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance followed by very long aftertaste of inky liquorice and mocca.
