A top Aussie quaffer!
Very deep crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Lifted nose with top notes of raspberry and blackberry emerging with a distinct macerated character, followed by a liquorice background. The palate demonstrates the primary fruit flavours of the wine and the strength of the 2002 vintage. Flavours of spice, blackberry and liquorice are dominant. Very good length and mouthfeel. Velvet smooth tannins, followed by a very long spicy aftertaste.
