The Penfolds ‘entry’ wine and what a great indication for the 2002 vintage. Medium body. Crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. The nose reveals a spicy blackberry top note, with a hint of liquorice. On the palate, the liquorice blackcurrant flavours are evident – very much fruit driven without any layers of complexity. Fine grained tannins, very soft. A great value for money everyday drinking red..
