2002 Chandon Vintage Brut

Made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier. Vibrant pale straw colour with hints of green. The aroma is a fresh yet complex blend of lifted citrus, strawberry and spice aromas with hints of cracked wheat and sweet pastry. The almost perfect 2002 Vintage with a very cool ripening season, produced wines of great elegance and finesse. This Brut style has a soft and fine entry developing into a creamy middle palate and a persistent elegant finish. Nutty, bread dough, and baked bread characters derived from two and a half years ageing on yeast compliment residual remaining primary Chardonnay characters of citrus and hints of melon and savouriness from Pinot Noir.
