An outstanding Annie’s Lane, and very much reflective of the power of the 2002 vintage. Opaque black crimson colour. The nose is appealing with aroma of dark chocolate, mocca, blackcurrant and liquorice. Abundant ripe fruit flavours leap onto the palate to provide a rich mouthfilling sensation. Strong black pepper flavours are enhanced by layers of liquorice, blackcurrant and spice. Excellent length and persistence with the spice and black pepper flavours lingering long into the aftertaste. Fine grained balanced tannin structure.
