Very deep crimson mauve colour, with deep mauve hue. Aroma of spice, blackberry, liquorice and ripe plum – the nose displays good Hunter characteristics, with a touch of earth emerging. On the palate, flavours of stewed fruit and plum, with just a touch of earth and spice. Good fruit flavours, but lacking complexity. Firmish dry tannins, followed by plum, stewed fruit and earth aftertaste.
