An old fashioned style, but not lacking character. Very deep crimson mauve colour. Aroma of stewed plum and old leather followed by a hint of earth. On the palate, flavours of inky plum, spice and stewed fruit over a very distinct old leather background. Full bodied, with a counterpoint of joosy ripe plum. Aftertaste of ripe plum and old leather.
