A well made wine that starts off well, but lacks the power and concentration that is expected from a Show Reserve wine. Bright straw colour, showing evidence of barrel maturation. Excellent nose, showing distinct yeast lees, and barrel ferment characters, with vanilla, tropical fruit and mango notes following. On the palate there is good weight and mouthfeel, followed by flavours of quince, grapefruit and citrus over a tropical fruit and spice background, but lacking persistence and concentration. Soft acid finish, followed by a citrus, tropical fruits aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
