Hunter Valley Verdelho is rapidly making a name for itself as one of the best unwooded dry white Australian wines. Hunter Valley Verdelho is picked after Semillion in late February. The fruit is allowed to achieve perfect ripeness while retaining good levels of acidity. Individual batches of fruit were separately fermented in refrigerated tanks to preserve delicate varietal character. There is no oak maturation and the wine is bottled young.On the nose this classic Verdelho offers a full range of tropical fruit flavours including passionfruit, paw paw and mango. On the palate the wine exhibits lovely rounded tropical fruit characters with a soft dry finish. Drink now. Suggested food: Thai green paw paw salad, chicken and mango. 12.4% alcohol volume.
