1998 Lindemans Padthaway Vineyard Chardonnay

A very well made oak matured Chardonnay. Bright straw colour. The nose displays the complexity of a barrel fermented Chardonnay with aromas of spice, butterscotch, peach and nut. Full bodied palate with toasted oak, spice, vanilla and butterscotch displaying good flavour balance, despite the fact that the toasted oak flavour runs right through onto the aftertaste. Clean, crisp acid finish followed by citrus, peach and butterscotch aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
