Kingston Estate Merlot has developed quite a following due to its full flavour and soft tannin structure. Deep crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose is lifted with aromas of spice, plum and mulberry followed by a hint of cinnamon. Cherry, plum and inky spice flavour dominate the palate. Good fruit flavours with the tannins being just a touch firmer than in previous years. Good balance and long inky plum spice aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
