A Giant of a wine – everything that one has come to expect from Wendouree is delivered. It has a remarkable combination of prima donna ballet like qualities. Finesse, yet strength, power and elegance. Complexity, yet refinement. Very deep opaque black crimson purple colour. Superb aroma of dark chocolate, spice and confectionary, followed by a wonderful marzipan note. The palate is a fruit lovers bombshell of flavour. That rare marzipan flavour component emerges over generous layers of very ripe plum, spice and cedar. Outstanding length and depth. Fine, dry tannins, perfectly balance, with very long aftertaste of spice, plum and liquorice.
