New World Projects Small Batch Seasonal Gin (700ml)

A new venture for this dynamic Melbourne based distillery (better known for the Starward brand) is a gin blended and distilled from an array of hand-picked, locally sourced botanicals including the addition of strawberry and mint late in the distillation process. These seasonal offerings are limited to 175 bottles / release and are sure to be in high demand given the current craze for all things gin.

Tasting note: Brilliant crystal clear appearance. Citrus peel focussed in the first inspection (grapefruit / lemon). Aeration draws out hints of raspberry gelato and muted herbs. Juniper is not salient. Peppery, medium dry, concentrated delivery has the juniper better defined with juicy citrus notes. Conlcudes slightly chalky, peppery, faintly herbal, dry and deceptively long. Hints of mint late in the fade? No single element really stands out. Contemporary and restrained. 40% Alc./Vol.
