McHenry Federation Gin (700ml)

A special release from the most southern family-run distillery in the world. True to its title, 'Federation' gin utilises hand foraged botanicals from every Australian state. These include Kakadu Plum from the Northern Territory, Lemon Myrtle from Queensland, Strawberry Gun from New South Wales, Mountain Pepperleaf from the ACT, Cinnamom Myrtle from Victoria, Celery Top Pine from Tasmania, wattleseed from South Australia and quandong from Western Australia.

Tasting note: Powerful scents of juniper, lemon peel, white pepper, pine sap and spiced fruits. Entry is mildly oily, viscous; Spices build through the middle stages, as does the lemon myrtle and juniper freshness. Creamy finish, trails off with pepper, tangy peel and piney juniper in the aftertaste. A robust and warming gin that should mix well. 42.2% Alc./Vol.
