A blend of four barrels of paddock to bottle rum laid down in 2013 into two virgin American Oak and two ex-Bourbon barrels.
The label commemorates the 150th anniversary of the small village of Tumbulgum in Northern NSW where Husk Distillers are located. Tasting note: [Batch 001 tasted] Amber gold. Wafts of vanilla custard, charred oak, spiced peaches, orange spice cake, mineral and trace peppermint. A dryish, light-to-medium body with flavours of pepper, oak shavings and vanilla. Finishes sweeter with hints of baklava, peppermint and cream tea biscuits in the aftertaste. Exceptionally pure, savoury styled rum with fine oak balance and length. 42.5% Alc./Vol. 2200 bottles.
