Hugues Godme Rose Champagne Grand Cru

Disgorged in May 2016 after 5 years on lees Hugues Godme Rose Champagne pours nicely with a frothy mousse that dissipates to reveal a light salmon pink coloured base wine that has a steady stream of delicate bubbles. Gentle winter strawberry and raspberry scents intermix with toast and yeast lees followed by subtle brioche end notes. Combining finesse and vibrancy the palate has flavours of winter strawberries and red cherries which are overlaid by toasty characters with yeast lees following up the rear. Dry finish with refreshing acidity. Aftertaste of delicate winter strawberries, red cherries, toast and yeast lees.
